As a Java Developer (m/f/d), you’ll be part of an international team working across multiple locations to develop innovative software solutions for public transportation. Our clients include transportation companies and transit authorities, for whom we develop customized apps, web shops, and mobility solutions as part of diverse projects.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and continuously improving our products, incorporating input from relevant stakeholders and aligning your work with our company goals. With your expertise and technical skills, you’ll make a significant contribution to our company’s success and help drive the mobility transition forward.
What awaits you
Our team is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of our MOBILE-PLAN software products in the areas of planning and data management. Our solutions enable customers to efficiently plan and manage their day-to-day public transportation operations. As part of the team, your responsibilities will include:
- You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle
- Your responsibilities as a developer will range from data modeling and UI design to implementing interfaces and integrations
- You will work with a variety of technologies and tools on a daily basis, including Swing/JavaFX, Groovy, JPA, Git/SVN, Maven, IntelliJ IDEA, JIRA, and SonarQube
- You will provide technical support to our Consulting and Sales colleagues, for example during requirements analysis and support cases, and collaborate with other development teams on interface implementations
- You will take responsibility for projects within the team and communicate directly with national and international customers.
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, or have completed further education as an IT specialist for application development
- You have already gained relevant professional experience in software development with Java
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, as well as writing complex and high-performance queries, would be an advantage
- You enjoy working as part of a team and interacting with customers
- Thanks to your fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, you feel comfortable communicating in an international environment
- You also enjoy the opportunity to see your work in action on site during occasional national and international business trips
